I came in for a regular check up and cleaning as a new patient because I was unable to get into my previous provider's office for quite sometime, so I was definitely overdue. All staff members were friendly and professional. The office was clean and appealing to the eye. The front desk staff were efficient in terms of insurance and appointment booking. But what really made my time here so great was my experience with the hygienist, Andrea. She was so meticulous when it came to the cleaning and extremely patient when it came to providing me with answers to the million questions I had. I felt comfortable throughout the entire process and trusted that my care was in good hands. Thank you Andrea and everyone else at Smile On! I look forward to continuing my dental care with you!

I was experiencing extreme tooth and jaw pain. Despite not being a patient of theirs, I called their emergency line late at night. Doctor P. Got back to me about an hour later and fit me in early the next morning. The staff was efficient and extremely friendly. Unfortunately they discovered an abscess, and were able to refer me to a great endodontist office for a root canal. I’m incredibly grateful for the care and concern their team showed me. I’ll absolutely be going back for all my (hopefully routine!) dental needs.

After having gone to the same dentist for 26 years and never having any dental issues, Smile On and Dr. Poncza were only the second dentist I had ever been to. Smile On and Dr. Poncza came recommended from a trusted source, they received good reviews online, and it was easy to get an appointment. When I arrived, the receptionist, dental hygienist, and Dr. Poncza were all very kind. These niceties, however, appear to conceal a dangerously exploitative practice in which professionals at this establishment recommend intensive, unnecessary, and (important from their perspective) lucrative procedures and devices. I will now tell my story. Upon arriving to the dentist, they took way more X-rays than I had ever had, due to both apparent inexperience as well as what they consider to be "standard practice." They then proceeded to diagnose me with periodontitis, along with other pre-symptomatic conditions. Given these urgent and serious conditions, they even refused to clean my teeth, saying it would be "too painful." I instead needed to make two separate appointments on two separate dates to receive a "deep clean" that would require local anesthesia and take a total of about 2 hours. On top of that, they claimed that a customized night mouth guard would help prevent the issues they were seeing. While they initially claimed that this deep clean would be billed similarly to a normal cleaning, upon checking out I learned that the cost would be about $500 with insurance for the deep clean and $400 for the night guard. Never having had any dental issues before, I was very skeptical of this practice when I left. I therefore decided to pay the full out-of-pocket cost for my old dentist, which at $150 was cheaper than the cost of getting my teeth cleaned with Smile On and Dr. Poncza. Upon returning to my old dentist, I learned that, in fact, I did not have periodontitis and that not much looked different from the previous year. He proceeded to clean my teeth (it was not at all painful) and sent me on my way, almost offended that someone had tried to rip me off in such an unprofessional and blatant manner. He also said that based on what he had seen, insurance would not have covered the deep clean, thus leaving me responsible for an even more expensive dental bill than Smile On had originally made it seem. I will never return. Perhaps the fundamental issue with this practice is they give no reason to trust them. They immediately dismissed much of the advice my prior dentist had given me and assumed I would just accept it (e.g., about the importance of not brushing my teeth too hard). They made me feel as if my teeth were incredibly unhealthy and sick, despite the fact that I have regularly had my teeth and mouth examined and cleaned. In conclusion, I would not recommend getting any dental care done at Simile On or with Dr. Poncza unless you like spending hundreds or thousands of dollars on unnecessary procedures that require anesthesia.

My experience here has been fantastic! The staff are very communicative and friendly. The doctor went through all my options with me and clearly described each one. He also made sure I was comfortable throughout the process of selecting and designing the orthodontic appliance! Hoping for good results, confidence in this place and the team!

Smile On is the best! Dr. Poncza is a fantastic dentist and makes sure you understand absolutely everything. He’s also helping with my sleep apnea, and I’m excited to get that going! Everyone from the front desk to the dental hygienists are phenomenal. I’ve even had to bring my kids in during my appointment before, and everyone was so incredibly kind and helpful. HIGHLY recommend Smile On!

I have been going to Smile On for 9 years now and Dr. Poncza has been an amazing dentist. I’ve lived in many cities and he is by far the best. During a recent cleaning, I pointed out that one of my front teeth had become chipped after multiple unfortunate incidents with forks (don’t ask) and I was becoming very self-conscious about how it looked. He was careful to not make guarantees, but said he thought he could make it look better and there was a chance it would withstand normal wear and tear. After about 15 minutes in the chair, I am amazed. My front teeth match perfectly in size and shape, and the color match is exact. I just can’t believe it! While I understand I need to be really careful to not damage it again, that challenge is accepted. I am so thankful for Dr. Poncza for giving me back confidence in my smile.
